The YVA is an entirely youth-run organisation for advocates of animal welfare, based in Canberra, Australia. You don’t have to be a vegetarian or vegan to join, you just need to be under 27 with a desire to see the inhumane practices of the meat and dairy, clothing, scientific and entertainment industries improved or abolished. The YVA strives to do this through raising awareness of the issues and lobbying government and business groups.
The People & Planet International Photography Competition exists to select the 54 photos published in the 2013 People & Planet Diary & Calendar, which raise money for an amazing group of Australian charities.
The People & Planet 2013 Diary & Wall Calendar are now available! Published by a partnership of 42 not-for-profit, social justice and environment organisations to raise funds for their work, both the Diary and Calendar feature extraordinary images of people and places around the world
